gloomy days are here to stay

Yup, today is yet another sad grey-skied day. Not raining yet, but will by the end of the night. Got woken up by a phone call today from my friend Barbara who I used to work with at Homeward Bound. It was awesome to hear from her. She filled me in a little on the never-ending drama that goes on over there, just had three more people quit, and opened a new store all in the past two weeks. And yet I got fired due to "cut backs".....riiiight. Whatever. But, the best part is that we decided to go have dinner tonight at this resteraunt called Flemings steak house in West Hartford by the store. So, I'm pretty stoked, good food and good company, all you can really ask for right???

The rest of my day hasn't really been amazing. Got up after the phone call and watched Cartoon Network for some time. Decided to have a breakfast protein shake, which I have been doing the past few days to aid in my losing weight venture...but this particular morning it ended up not agreeing with me at all. Chris had to go to work at noon today, and right around the time he left was when I started getting terrible nausia. So, I quickly took some Maylox and layed down for a while. After an hour or so it finally did the trick. I'm just hoping I make it through tonights meal without any problems.

Yesterday was just as boring, did a whole lot of nothing, just lounged around all day, Chris went to work for some overtime from 5-9ish, and then we went to Chili's for dinner. After that we went to Blockbuster to see if they had any cheap movies, and I ended up get Super Troopers FINALLY after all these years and it was only $5! woot! So, we went home and watched that and then went to bed.

We decided to go ahead and get the tickets for the Office Fan Tour so, we are officially going to Scranton, PA on Saturday! yay!!! It's going to be an office nerd's paradise, I can't wait!!! So far it's just me, Chris and our friend Erin, but I think we are going to have a lot of fun! woot! I'm going to get to have a drink at Poor Richard's pub! yeeeha! haha! So friggin sweet!

Well, looks like it's officially raining out there, and I have to leave in a bit. When will it ever end.? This is the rainiest summer I've ever had here.
