FINALLY!!!!

That's right yall, Rae Rae got a J O B!!!!

Went in for my interview at Aspen Dental this morning. Had a little bit of trouble finding the place because I thought I knew where it was but got turned around, although I still managed to get there early. Sat down, filled out my paperwork, and then sat there, and sat there, and sat there. Mind you my interview was scheduled for 9am, dude doesn't show till 10am. But, I'm willing to be cool with it. He was a pretty cool dude, although he seemed a bit hesitant with me, made a couple comments about me being nervous, which I am notoriously at interviews, but when we took the tour around the office and he introduced me to the other staff that he saw me for who I really am. And, the rest is pretty much history. He explained the job, basically answering phones, taking insurance, greeting patients, stuff like that. I'm getting a decent wage and once I have worked there two months I get full health and dental benefits. Asked me if I wanted to think about it and I said, "no, I'm pretty sure I can handle it" and he shook my hand. I now work for Aspen Dental!!! I start tomorrow at 7:45am.

The walk to my car I could barely contain myself. I was beaming with joy and was crying by the time I got in my car. Called Chris, my mom, and texted my Moe bug ;) I am just so relieved to finally have a job and finally have something that I know I can do well and that I know I will do good at. Tomorrow I will be spending my day in the "back" with the actual dentist learning about the procedures and how to "turn over" a room. Curt (my manager) told me that I will be learning A LOT about dental terminology over the next few weeks. So, that should be fun. I'm just excited to finally be in a position that will give me experience and will look good on a resume.

Tonight I will be celebrating, not too hard mind you, but I will be celebrating. Today I can finally relax. It's such a HUGE HUGE HUGE wieght lifted. I cried pretty hard today with Chris just from the sheer overwhelming relief. All I can say is that part of my first paycheck I am getting a deep tissue massage. I can't wait :)
